Roguematch!
Roguematch?
Roguematch is a turn based roguelike in a grid based environment, where the heroes are immersed within fields of overflowing magic. Their use of Match 3 mechanics are not treated casually, and play an important part in their turn by turn tactics.
The castle layouts and items are randomly generated, and the player’s objectives are to fight their way from the highest to the lowest levels of the castle, each time going through a different path.
As the story progresses, they are introduced to other heroes who join them, and meet not just creatures from the extraplanar realms, but also the Meowter Gods such as Cathulhu and Dog Sothoth.

Turn based dungeon crawler where mana pieces occupy the empty spaces, to be used to directly attack enemies, or to be absorbed to cast spells or heal yourself.

Every turn is important, walk one space,do a melee attack, match a group of mana, cast a spell, or perform a character skill?

Over 60 enemies and 28 bosses to fight, each with their own patterns, elemental strengths and weaknesses.

6 Characters with different skills, 6 types of gloves that change how mana react to being matched, over 170 items that change the way you play.

MerchAnts and SurveillAnts are there to help you in your journey in getting new items or mapping out the levels.

Get more XP the faster you clear a room, and level up your player stats.

Uncover the mystery of why portals to other realms are open all over the castle, and why it’s important to stop them.
History
Roguematch started out with the intention to meld Turn Based Dungeon Crawling and Match 3 mechanics truly together. We believe that although Match 3 RPGs are fun, the match 3 portions of the game are usually separate from the RPG aspect mechanically, and that it could be pushed further.
It made sense to us that the grids within a turn based dungeon crawler are where the pieces belong, alongside the characters, and we went forward with that. Now, the characters in Roguematch are aware of the magic around them, and are also themselves considered a piece to be matched!
